B5Be_PCHV1y *READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM* When I was 18 years old, I was nearly 6'0" and 139 pounds. I vividly remember the feeling of being so skinny that I faintly touched my rib and felt nothing but bone. To this day the thought still haunts my mind and is the scariest feeling I've ever felt, and it provoked the thought of me committing suicide. But before that even became a real thought, I picked myself up. I told myself that I was going to get through this and that I was going to make something of myself because of the dark hole that I was in, and that's when i committed myself to the gym. I knew that it was my birthright to become the best version of myself and take what was rightfully mine. Day after day I started piecing it all together. The training, the diet, the late nights, and the exhaustion from working so hard was addicting to me, and it still is to this day. All adversity will teach you something in like if you let it. Let me use mine to help you. I am going to be having some very awesome things coming within the next couple of weeks, but for the time being I want you to be the first to know whenever something new is dropping. B4qiNijH0WV How often do you train the other side of your chest? you know... that large group of muscles known as your back. Unfortunately the back is often overlooked by many. - Let me be the first to remind you that you gotta row to grow! So here are some basic tips for you next time you T-bar row, barbell row, and dumbbell row: - Stretch at the bottom. Make sure you allow full extension of the elbows at the start; if there's any bend, you're cheating! If you really need to force the issue, make yourself relax completely for one second at the starting position before performing the next rep. - Pull through the elbows. When performing pulling exercises, think of your lower arm being welded in a perfectly straight line. Instead of pulling with your hands, you now have to pull through your elbows to perform the movement. This point isn't as important in pronated or neutral grip exercises, but more so with supinated (underhand) grips where the mid-arm muscles are more likely to contribute. - Squeeze at the midpoint. This is another critical point. You want to make sure you're using muscular strength and not momentum to perform the reps. If you can't pause with the weight at the midpoint of the movement, you're using too much weight! - TAG someone who needs to hear this below 👇🏼

B4VjXIRH5X3 Do You train when you’re sick?! 🤒 - My rule of thumb is that If my symptoms are above the neck, meaning a sore throat, nasal congestion, sneezing, and tearing eyes, then it's OK! But if my symptoms are below the neck, such as coughing, body aches, fever, and fatigue, then it's time for me to make the mature decision until I feel the symptoms subside. - Luckily for me I am only battling a cold but it’s still leg day and the work still needs to be done. It's fun to train your arms hard and see the physical progress, just don't get stuck in a rut, doing the same curl repeatedly. Make significant gains and get your biceps to pop more by incorporating the exercise you see above (Waiter Dumbbell Curls) to your routine. I love switching things up and end up favoring these over straight bar because it alleviates pressure on my elbows and puts my wrists in a more natural position than a straight bar. You get better. You grow and develop by consistently doing your best. What I want people to understand is, is no matter what you think about yourself, you are good enough to do your best right now. No matter how hard you try, you can’t be better than what you are. I know at first, it looks like a play on words…but what we have to understand is, is this culture that’s obsessed with better is also an anxious culture. When are anxious the mind goes to the future, you quit performing at your best, so what we know about when human beings are at their best, they don’t go forward in the future. They don’t go backwards in the past. They stay present, and the mind gets really quiet, and you function optimally. The problem that I have with better is it keeps pulling you to the future. If you’re a leader, just go to people and say, “Look, all I’m asking you to do is do the best that you can.” If you’re a leader what I can say is if you could get others to perform at their best, then you’re doing your job at a high level!

B3udMOgnWOz All day long, most people have a running dialogue with themselves. If you actually stop and listen to these messages, you may wonder how you accomplish anything at all. How many times in a given day do you find yourself mentally rehearsing the worst possible outcome, or telling yourself you can’t do something, or it's too hard? If you are in the middle of a workout and you begin to fatigue, does that little voice in your head encourage you to give up?! .. Getting a handle on our self-talk is one of the hardest things many of us will attempt. So just how can you reduce those negative messages?! .. 1. Choose a mantra: To get started with creating more positive self-talk, choose one of two mantras you can use during your training. This could be a simple affirmation, such as "I feel like a beast” or as Ronnie would say "Yeah buddy! Nothing but a 🥜” or another simple, positive phrase you can repeat over and over again. .. 2. Practice multiple scenarios: Once you have developed the habit of repeating this phrase during moments of weakness to the point where it starts to become automatic, start expanding the dialogue so that you have familiar and comfortable statements. For example, if you are going for a new PR you might say, "This weight ain’t s***” or "I’ve done this before and I will do it again!” .. 3. Create a positive mental image or visualization: The phrases and words you choose should be those that you can immediately call up and create a visual picture of yourself doing exactly what you say. The image along with the words is a powerful combination that creates a positive message tied to a belief. As I say just visualize how you want to look! .. I hope you guys found these helpful.
